I am probably not posting to the right area on the boards but will try others too with this problem. I have heard of heart mumurs and know what they are but has any one ever heard of a "stomach murmur" or what itis??? I have a friend who has been having problems with gastric reflux and other stomach problems. She had an X-ray done and went back to the doctor today. That test came back okay. He litsened to her stomach all over and said he heard what sounded like a "stomach mumur" and ordered a barium enema and some other test where she will have to drink some fluids while they X-Ray her stomach. Has any one ever heard of this? Is this a serious problem and can it be fixed? She is really worried as I am and wish to find out some kind of information as the doctor was very vaige and seemed concern that she get the test as soon as possible. Thanks for any input you can give us.

summerset I did a search just out of curiousity because I had never heard of that. I could find absolutely nothing about a stomach murmur.

Thanks for the efforts, I too have looked and surfed myself to death over this...I am wondering if may be he just meant something like an ulcer but wondering if an ulcer can be dectected with a barium Xray? Any way I surfed and every time I always came back to "heart mumurs" thanks for your time. She will find out soon enough as her test is next week. I really appreciate you taking the time to look also.
