My heart is heavy today! - Heart Disorders Message Board

When you come to these boards for support sometimes there will be someone who touches your heart in a special way. I visit other sites for heart disorders regularly and today several of us at another site lost a good friend. I believe he was now 40 years old and had his heart attack at 39. He left behind a wife and two young children. For people who come here to play jokes and mess with peoples minds, heart disease is not a joke. I had never met this man but felt like I've known him for a long time. Through it all he never lost his sense of humor. Heaven has gained an angel today.

Sorry to hear of the loss. I can realte because a good friend of mine passed away in July at 26 years old. He had cardiomyopathy, CHF, hypertention, and was told he needed a heart transplant but passed away within 3 months of learning of his condition. I will pray for the family and friends. God Bless.

This guy had some serious heart damage, but it wasn't his heart that caused his death. It's kind of ironic because he was so concerned with having CHF and was looking at possibly needing a defibrillator implanted. It's difficult to understand it all sometimes.
So sorry for your loss. 27 is so young to die from a heart related illness. I was 41 and I thought I was too young to have a heart problem.

I am really sorry to hear about that.

My grandfather died when I was 3... he had heart trouble but he died because during his gall bladder sugery they did something wrong and he never woke up. I know that you are talking about me when you say "For people who come here to play jokes and mess with peoples minds, heart disease is not a joke" because you posted in my topic. Let me tell you I am not joking... I was at my heart doctor the other day and he told me it is not all in my head and I could have something wrong with my hearts electrical system. I am very scared at the moment even though I know people have it alot worse then me. I hate to hear of people losing their life at such an early age and I would never joke with people on a serious topic like this... I have had several losses in my family and I know how hard it is to lose someone you love.
