legs feel heavy and ache...heart related?? - Heart Disorders Message Board

Not sure if this is heart related or not. I think my circulation is bad.
Whenever I sit for an extended length of time, my ankles and legs swell, feel hot, numb, and heavy. Last week I flew for two hours and before arriving at my destination, my legs started to hurt really bad. Also, if I travel by car for over two hours, the same thing happens. Has anyone had this problem, and what kind of specialist did you see? This has been going on for several months and has me very concerned.

Thanks for any suggestions you might have.

I would start out with your regular doctor. They can then decide if you need to be referred to a specialist or if this is something they can diagnose and treat.

I don't think I would keep putting it off. Plus, it will give you peace of mind to know what's going on.

sounds like to much salt and hanging your legs or crossing them
