| Re: PAC's and hormones
Dear Katiekal, I first noticed an increase of palpitations around 25 years old too. Mine are very much affected by my menstrual cycle. I always have bad episodes around my period, but also when I ovulate. I believe it is the increase and decrease of hormones throughout the cycle. I know what you mean about them being so scary. They are at times tortuous. I am now 44 years old and have been assured many times that it is not dangerous by my doctors. While it isn't dangerous, it feel so bad, so scary. I know exactly how you feel. I still get panicky when it happens, although it is better after having had it for so long. My PAC's were no worse during my pregnancies. The one thing I did that helped me most of all was eliminating aspartame ~ no diet drinks, no gum. Nothing with aspartame. I also take magnesium which seems to help. I'll be praying for you.
