Chest pressure ....Help Please

I had bypass surgery in 1997. The past year or so I constantly get chest pains that appear to be muscular in nature. Feels like wearing a 4" wide tight rubber band across the entire front on chest. I feel it all the time but moreso if I lift anything at all or take a deep breath. Thought maybe advil would help but no luck. This is driving me crazy. I know what cardiac pain is and this ain't
it. Had EKG last week and all looked fine. My doc thinks maybe adhesions from past surgery.
