They're unconscious, so there's not really going to be any control of the eye muscles.
I don't know what happens when I faint, my eyes always close I think.

There's lots of reason a person can faint though, dehydration, shock, heart related, nervous system/neurological related, something making blood pressure fall suddenly and so on.
