Hi! Sorry I can't be of any help but I do have some questions. I had stents placed nearly a dozen times and I never expereanced "burning". Is it a hot kind of burning or a salt in the wound kind of burning? Is it constant? Is it on the surface in your chest? On what date did you get the stent? When did it start?
Just a guess Acid Reflux. Try an antacid(sp?) next time it acts up.

Callie, I to have had a stent put in. It has been 6 1/2 weeks since I had my heart attack. I to had this burning. My heart Dr. told me to take my nitro instead of Tylenol or that. It worked!!! And he did make sure it wasn't nothing else causing it. Cause I do still have 2 artiers 40% blocked. But not blocked enough to do anything with. Do hope you start feeling better. Bonie

I had a cypher put in October 2005 and another February 2006 - had a burning sensation on inhalation after the second one but it went away after a couple of days. FWIW, the placement of the first was painless but the second hurt a lot when he inflated the thing. In fact, it hurt enough that I reminded him he wasn't inflating a football and to stop it! The burning sensation was much worse when I laid on my left side or back - but as I said, it resolved after about two days and I have felt terrific since.
