Having some pain - Heart Disorders Message Board

Hello,

I don't even know if I am posting in the right forum but i did a quick search on the net for anywhere to see if they know what the symptoms I am having are.

Most of the day on and off have had a strange pain right side of my chest right nipple area but to the left of it. It comes on sharp and also at the same time it seems to shoot down into my groin area on the right side too. I feel a little sickly and nausea but have not been sick , think that is just with the other feeling i have which is constant belching every few minutes trying to get wind up like indigestion.

I have taken now for year omeprazole for bleeding ulcers i once had and just on a maintenance dose now with that tablet. Was not sure if to take another one to see if it eases it or just go to bed and hope it is gone for morning.

when the pain comes it like takes the breath out of mer only for the time the pain is on then it is okay again. I am just agitated and nervous with it and been trying to suck a mint see if that helps but nothing so far.

It's been on now on and off I would say a good 6 to 7 hours.

Forgot to mention 2 years ago they thought I had a pulmonary embolism, was in hospital a week on heparin. One test they did that made them think it came back off the scale they said.

Anyway they said after different scans it was not that so i am unsure what caused it. One doctor who came around said something about coagulation while hew was talking to the other doctors but not sure what was meant by it.

they were going to keep me in to get my blood pressure down but it never happened, I was on tablets once but they made me breathless so he took me off them. my blood pressure usually is 120 or higher over 190 or higher. not all the time it sometimes is 100 or lower over 160 ish.

The only other thing unusual the last two days is a pressure feeling on my temples which I put down to blood pressure as it makes me feel flushed hot in the face.

Heart related i have always had tachycardia and was going to have ablation but it's not been to bad of late. Not to fast now it's just those other symptoms I cant figure out why it will not go.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I am a 42 year old male, Posted here it's not so much heart rhythm although I have tachycardia for many years. The main problem started Saturday with pains in my right side upper chest by the nipple area to the left. The pain came on sharp them shot down into my groin area it went on for 6 to 7 hours on and off. When the pain came each time it took the breath out of me but after was normal again.

Also had been having heavy pressure feeling in my head and on my temples which I put down to blood pressure. I have had for years but got much worse over the last few months pain going up my throat and into my ears, wakes me up sometimes. I just feel now like every noise is so loud in my head and like a drum feeling.

Anyway I was still feeling off today with my head feeling like i can hear things loads louder than they are and just not feeling with it and dizzy with some pain which I still have as I am typing this on the right side of my head and over my eye. I went to the doctors and got back just over an hour ago, first the nurse took me in and did an ecg and took my blood pressure, the blood pressure was high number 220 low number 120 and my ecg just showed a fast heart rate. Also checked my temperature and said it was very high and did not know if it was viral or what. He was undecided if to get an ambulance for me right there and then but then said if I felt worse at home just get one or get to the hospital.

He said he will make me an appointment with a heart specialist and should hear from them in the next two weeks and have to have some blood work done this coming Wednesday.

He gave a prescription for paracetamol for the temperature and started me on some blood pressure tablets, he said though not to take them while i still have the temperature but the nurse came out after and said to start them tonight so I guess I will have one tonight. They are called Amlodipine can anyone shed any light what they do ,just for blood pressure?

Any other advice would be appreciated as I am feel so rotten at the moment.
