can anyone tell me about a mir - Heart Disorders Message Board

i had a racing heart, sweating and dizziness. fell down etc....went to the er and everything is fine now. they want me to seee a doctor . i was wondering if i should do a mir. i want to....what does it do. cost. how long it takes. etc
dont want this to happen again.thanks

Hi Mark, I think you mean an MRI - magnetic resonance image. It is used to see soft tissue structure and injury. It is one of many sorts of tests and could cost you a bit. I would not just choose that unless you had a very good reason, and I would be guided by your doctor. Best to start with an open mind and save your dollars. You might be able to speak to someone at ER and get the report or notes they kept when you were there. That's a start.
If you don't have a doctor ask some friends who they recommend.
