| Does it sound like I could have MVP or something else?
I've never been tested for any heart problems and I was thinking that now would be a good time to get that done, because I'm 24 weeks pregnant and have medicaid now. I'm 21, if this might help someone determine what I might have. (I know nobody here will be able to tell for sure.. I guess I'm wondering what it sounds like I might have, if anything.)
Before I got pregnant, I've always had heart palpitations. Sometimes I would get a racing heart, that would last about 30 seconds to a minute. Lately, I have been thinking that this was either Sugar, caffeine or alcohol related, because I haven't experienced this since becoming pregnant.. I would notice my heart racing if I would eat a lot of candy or consume alcohol. I've never been much of a soda drinker, because I noticed when I was like 15 that my heart would race if I drank a lot of soda. When this would happen, I would feel dizzy, but I never experienced chest pain or anything.
Anyways, I've always noticed my heart skipping beats, too. Or it feels like skipping, at least. Not all the time. I would just be sitting there and it would feel like my heart would skip a beat. It's never hurt or anything, but it catches my breathe sometimes. This is still happening during my pregnancy, but it usually happens when I'm pretty active, and then sit down to rest or lay down. It seems like it skips a beat or two to help it slow down.
I was reading about MVP, which doesn't sound like too much of a big deal. I'm very scared that I could have something, though, especially since I'm pregnant. I don't want to have some underlying heart condition and end up dying while giving birth, so I was thinking now would be a good time to get checked out.
Does it sound like I might possibly have something? Thanks for reading and sorry it's so long.
