32 year old male, good physical shape. 6'1 190 lbs. I'll start at the beginning, so bear with me. I ran a really hard 300m sprint, and afterwards, just felt weird. Just like I wasn't with it, and didn't feel right. Almost like my vision and head were slightly altered. I could just definitely tell something was up. It happened one other time after that, but mainly I think because I stayed away from strenuous physical activity. A couple of years after that, it seemed like my muscles and joints fatigued extremely easily, and I had a lot of tingling sensations in the limbs and such. Another couple of years go by, and I have a bad episode, where my heart just started racing out of control, out of the clear blue. No negative thoughts, or anything. They discharged me from the ER with what they said was a stress/panic reaction. The next couple of months were filled with several ER trips, all short visits sending me home with the same diagnosis.

They came to this conclusion after having every test under the sun run on me. I've had an EKG, echo, halter monitor, blood tests, chest x-ray, brain MRI, etc. I was on lexapro for over a year, and did really great. No ER visits, and alot of the above symptoms disappeared. I've since gone off, and had to go back on Lexapro. I never did have a stress test done, or a a cath. The tests mentioned above all came back ok. The cardiologist didn't seem concerned at all, and basically pushed me out the door.

I guess my questions are, if it was something heart related, would it just go away, and be intermittant like that? Also, do you think I need any additional testing done, relating to the heart? I ask this because before I ever had a panic attack, I really felt like something was wrong after running really hard. I've always been kind of a laid back kind of guy. I've been to the panic boards, just thought I'd try it over here and see what you guys come up with. The panic boards are difficult, because everybody's symptoms are different, but it seems its hard to distinguish between panic attacks, and heart conditions. I'm sorry this was so long, and am really hoping for any kind of feedback at all! If somebody reads this in its entirety, I can't thank you enough. This was all brought on because I'm off of Lexapro again, and have been having chest pains for a few days. A symptom I've never experienced. They aren't sharp, just kind of dull and annoysome. They come and go. Thanks again!
