perplexed by Plavix
I had two drug-eluting stents installed in 2005. Since then, no chest pains or other problems.
Back then, I was told to take Plavix for three months. Then it was changed to six, and then to a year. Now the doctor says I should take it as long as I can afford it.
Since 2007, I've been cutting the pills in half.
Since it's the pharmceutical company that keeps saying you need to take this drug forever, I can't trust them.
Has anyone researched this issue and come with anything worthwhile? I can afford the drug but am wondering if I'm just wasting my money. No side effects that I'm aware of, other than bruising more easily.
