Feet Swelling After Mitral Valve Repair

Hi

My Mum had a Mitral Valve Repair in January and all went well. She has been getting out and about quite a bit but yesterday after a full day out she noticed that her feet had begun to swell.
After resting up over night the swelling has subsided.

Her feet did swell up a bit when she first came home from hospital which she mentioned to the specialist at her 6 week appointment and he said it was Odema and increased her Ramipril dosage, which she is yet to start thanks to the hospital not sending their instructions to her GP. She is due to pick up the prescription on Wednesday.

Has anybody else suffered this after a valve repair, I automatically associate feet swelling with heart failure and it always gets me worried.

She currently takes
Aspirin
Ramipril
Slimvastatin
