I have had this for years. I was an inner city middle school teacher and also I ran. I believe that the stress from both caused mine. In answer to your question if it is over whelming stress. I would say that it could. But I have read that they are seeing more runners with this. One thing I would not do, is let them into giving you an AV ablations. This makes you pm dependent. But they can map out your heart and give you an ablation possibly you may have to have two of them to completely stop it. There are meds, but don't let them give you amaeriderone (sp). Doctors do this and it can be life threatening. This is what I was told and the side effects are really bad. the doctor that gave me the AV ablation told me he would never give it to a patient. It is for Ventricular fib, not afib. It is not even FDA approved for afib. - Sam
