When can the bypass patient stop taking medicine?

How long can the patient stop taking medicine?

My brother in law had the surgery one month age in China. He does not like to take the medicine for long time. But his doctor said he should take the medicine for ever.

My sister let me ask help on this and want to know how do foreign doctor deal with the medicine after the surgery?

Thanks,

hai

Re: When can the bypass patient stop taking medicine?

The length of time a patient has to take medication(s) depends upon why he needs the medication, and how well the medication is working.

Do you know what type(s) of medication your brother-in-law is on, and what each medication is supposed to do for him?

We all would like to go through life without having to be medicated. An alternative approach might be to go on a very healthy diet, stop smoking, limit alcohol, and do significant exercise, in order to limit medication.

Re: When can the bypass patient stop taking medicine?

Thank you, Machaon.

This is a good suggestion. I will forward to him and ask the name of the medicine.

Best,

Hai
