Should I take a daily low-dosage of aspirin for a-fib?

My doctor hasn't suggested it. He just has me on a beta blocker. Should I ask him or just take an aspirin a day to reduce my risk of clotting and/or stroke? I'm 45, nuclear stress test came out fine and I'm not diabetic.

I wouldn't unless your doctor advised you to. You can always ask him but I wouldn't do it otherwise. You may not need it. And it could thin your blood too much as well.

I suppose I'd better ask him first. You're right...
