Hi all hope you can help?
I consider myself to be a fit 29 year old male, I go to the gym 3 times a week to go heavyish weights then go for runs, mountain biking, road biking, swimming, walking, climbing, circuit sessions, in between the gym normally do an activity most days (I do nearly all my cardio out of gym cos I like being outside).
I never bothered much watching my heart rate as I feel fine but the other I had a go of the stepper at the gym and it automatically monitors your heart rate through the handles and mine was very high way above my supposed maxium rate of 191 (220 - age) about 200, thought nowt of it. Then today at work (fireman) we did a simulated fire / breathing apperatus drill in a building (hot conditions and lots of graft pulling hose and dummies around) in which out of interest we used heart rate monitors mine was sky high again in places around 210
We have regular medicals in which heart rate and blood pressure, lung capacity etc are checked and I have never had a problem.
Do I need to be worried go to the docs?
