Red face Cold feeling in chest

Hi im 18, i was having svt attacks and I had 5 ekgs, 3 blood panels, 3 thyroid tests, 2 chest xrays, 1 ct scan and 1 pulmonary embolisim test. and everything was fine. Last week I was diagnosed with a costochonditis. Today I woke up and my heart felt weird, i was having more palpitations. My chest feels tight and my breath feels tight too. Some times I get this cold feeling around my heart. Is this from my inflammation??

Re: Cold feeling in chest

Hi. I'm 38 I had a heart attack in July 2010. I received a stent and after that my heart has felt cold. Like a cold hand wrapped around my heart. I asked the doctors and they have not given my any answers. I've only been told they have never heard of this. I hope you get the answers your looking for. I myself have all but given up hope of finding any answer. You are the only one I been able to find with the same feeling of a cold heart. Mine feels cold all the time. I'm not the same man after my heart attack. I was all ways as tough as super man. But a few weeks before my heart attack that changed. I've told every one how I feel and no one understands how can they. I've been lost sence the day I got home and don't no what to do any more. I've fallen in to a deep depression and told all who love me to get out of my life because I fear that I wont make it through what I'm going through. I hope thing go well for you and your feelings of a cold heart go away. Coldheart1972

Re: Cold feeling in chest

Hi, im sorry to hear what happened, im very familiar with depression as i felt like i would never be normal, i recently had an ablation done and it was a sucsess so im near normal but they fact that it could come bacl haunts me everyday which causes me some depression, but i may have an answer for you. My stomach acids when crazy from all the stress of what was happening to me, stress makes more stomach acid which can feel like a cold feeling around your heart, i went through the same thing as you with the cold feeling, it scared me so bad i went to the er, they kept me overnight and said everything was fine. Im pretty sure mine and maybe yours could be stomach relates cause if you look up cold feeling in chest related gerd or acid reflux its fairly common but i cant find anyone with a heart issue and cold feeling in chest. Its like when you get chest pain from gas but acid instead.

Re: Cold feeling in chest

Thank you the reply. I don't have any stomach probs. It started right after my heart attack but never stops. I don't eat much due to a brain displacement 9 years ago. I was 220 when that happened now I'm about 145. I don't get hungry ever I may crave some thing but thats it. I will tell the docs about what you told me. I've been unable to work for almost a year now due to my heart. I just wish I could get back to work so I don't lose what I have left. I have no income and have not been able to get any help from any one. my case worker at cardio refab. Said I don't quilify for any kind of help. I don.t want a hand out just a hand to help me get back on my feet. I've got to call the Doc. to and talk about a test I didn't have the cash to have done. Before I got sick I was strong and took care of myself never asking for help. Now I have to tell every nurse and Doc what I going thru and thats the worst thing about it. I was a working man and now I feel like a bum. Well sorry to talk your ear off I hope that thing keep going good for you and that you don't have any more trouble with your heath. take care ttyl William

Re: Cold feeling in chest

I'm just curious to know how your symptoms have improved since then, if they have.

Re: Cold feeling in chest

I had a "Cold" feeling right down the center of my chest. I thought it was bronchial asthma. My G.P. thought it was angina. He was right.
