| Continued heart problems
Hi to all
I had a "classic" heart attack 2 months ago and had angiograms on both sides, then 3 stents put in on my right side coronary artery. Since then I have been back to hospital 4 times with similar symptoms but to a lesser extent. At the first revisit they did another angiogram but found no further problem that needed more work.
I joined the hospital rehab sessions and lost 6 kilos (14lbs), cut my cholesterol in half to well under the required numbers, haven't smoked for 22 years, regularly exercise and changed my diet to cut down on fat, sugar and salt.
At each hospital visit, they calm down the symptoms and send me home. I don't think they have any answers other than to tell me that I have heart disease on the left side that did not require stents. My ECG shows an inverted inferior T wave each time. My blood work stays OK.
I have noticed that on 3 of the relapses, I have been drinking red wine which contains sulphites. But I have drunk red on many occasions without any problems. The cardiologist is sceptical of this reason but can't give me any answers.
Does anyone have the least idea what is going on? any similar experience would be valuable.
Swell
