chest tingling

I had chest pain one night went to the dr and was diagnosed with gerd. passed ekg, bloodwork, and chest xray i later did a stress test and got my heart up to the maximum beats per minute. Still daily have chest pain in center and tingling towards colar bone. any suggestions...

if it is GERD....you can 1. eat smaller, more frequent meals. 2. make sure you are upright for at least 30 mins after eat. 3. try some proton pump inhibitors or other meds. 4. there are surgeries for severe gerd (fundoplication).

Whatever you do, make sure you get it taking care of and/or have it checked relatively frequently. Too much acid in the esophagus can lead to barrets epithelium which will make the esophagus more susceptible to cancers. This is not meant to scare you, millions of people have GERD and are fine, its just something which should be monitored rather than just putting up with it. Good luck.
