Brief Sharp Pain
I was on beta blockers for over 30 years because of tachycardia. Ten years ago I know longer required medicine to keep my heart under control. The cardiologist gave me a clean bill of health but told me that the electrical problem could resume as I got older. Since then I have been fine with few palpitations.
Just lately after climbing the stairs I get a sharp shooting pain in the centre of my chest. I am not short winded but I have a brief heart palpitation. It goes away after I rest. It has only happened after I climb the stairs. I had a resting ECG a couple of weeks ago and it was fine.
I feel as if the pain is due to a brief arrythmia. Has anyone else experienced this. Obviously if this continues I have to be checked out. I am a 67 yr old female. This is the only heart symptom that I have.
