SVT and AF in elderly

I am a 79 year old male and have suddenly started to suffer from ?SVT. I have had two trips to the Emergency Department in the last five months when my HR was up around the 140bpm for several hours on each occasion. I have had a Holter Monitor which showed "SR with perhaps SVT/AF". I note that both ED reports show ?SVT. Does that mean that they cannot confidently diagnose SVT. I have controlled Hypertension but am otherwise in pretty good health for my age. Are there any other old chaps out there who are getting on with life with these complaints.? I would be interested to hear from you.
