Echo findings

Hello! I had an echo and everything was perfect except he said I have a slightly redundant atrial septum. Of course I am freaking out. He said it's nothing to worry about.

Anyone know about this?? Btw I'm a 30 yr old female

Thanks!!!

Re: Echo findings

From what I read it is probably a slight arrhythmia (abnormal heart rhythm)which many folks have and really isn't anything to worry about. My Echo showed one about 5 years ago but so far every EKG I've had sense has never shown it to be worse. The sinus rhythm is sometimes too fast or too slow. I know I get what feels like skipped beats. It's scary but Cardio guy told me he has it as well and not to worry about it.

Hope this helped...JJ...

Re: Echo findings

"slightly redundant atrial septum" Thats, to me, like saying you have an, i.e. "slight" problem parallel parking. Regardless, its still a problem. Except this is the Quarterback of your body. Be the offensive guard...Protect your Quarterback. Find an answer, then rest easy
