^ months since LAD stent now another stress test ??
Went to the Dr today and he asked if any problems. I told him I have had some high across the pec's pains after lifting etc but no problems running,or biking which I do everyday. I take Plavix and Asirprin everyday and eat right. Now he wants me to have another echo stress test Thursday and im freaking out, why ???
What are the chances of there being a problem ?? My chlost. numbers are perfect, HDL 94 and LDL 88. We are supposed to leave Saturday for vacation...Now he has me coming in on Thursday....

and IF there is a problem would I be better off with a bypass than another stent ?? I dont want to keep going back for more stents only to have bypass down the road..Maybe im getting ahead of myself

yea maybe, just wonder IF I fail the test and the stent is plugged should I opt for a bypass ?? I have read RECENT reviews that say bypass is no better than stent. Older readings favored bypass.... I really wish this was all a bad dream

My son in laws grandfather had bypass 27 years ago and is still going strong.
I know a few people who are 20 odd years post bypass - it depends on how you look after yourself, if your just going to eat junk you're just asking for trouble.
If you need further intervention and have a choice I'd say go for the bypass, it's a big operation but it's routine these days but that's up to you and your Dr to decide.

I'm hoping mt test comes out good so I don't have to cross that bridge. Trouble is a stent DR will probably want to do a stent, bypass Dr will want bypass

Hmm, you're probably right.
I never had a choice, the location of my blockages could only be fixed with bypass - when I had my angio I was hoping for a stent.

well all went great ! He held me at my max heart rate, no pain, did the echo and he said he "excellent, not even a glitch " He said the pain was muscle related....
He was the one same Cardio that did my first one and caught the blockage

Yea I hope so,lol he said seeing that I have been running and biking he wanted to bring me to 165 hr and held me there for what seemed like an hour, then did the echo again. He said he didnt even see one tiny indication of a problem. This guy is supposed to be the best cardio in NY state !
So I guess I need to trust him..Again he is the one that diaginosed my blockage after the first Dr gave me a good to go green light !
