 Mitral valve prolapse and palpitations
I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse when I was 25...I am now 29. I never noticed anything to even tip me off that I had this. A doctor listened to my heart and told me I had a murmer. It got checked during a physical and I had an EKG done where MVP was confirmed.
Well, over the last few months I have begun to notice palpitations pretty frequently. I would say I notice them once or twice a week, every week. I feel the fluttering/irregular heart beats and thats it. I dont have any other symptoms. Is this something I need to speak to my doctor about? Everything I have read online says that palpitations are a pretty common symptom of MVP.
