Just a quick question that may be a little off topic, but curious about the answer. Were any of you heart disease sufferers runners prior to being diagnosed? I'm just curious to know if anybody out there took the proper steps in trying to prevent the disease, such as running or other cardio, yet still contracted it. My dad was diagnosed at 51 years old, and has had a triple by pass, and several stents put in over the past few years. He is one of the only heart disease patients in our family, however, and had a lot of extra weight on him over the years, and never exercised regularly. Still, he's an immediate relative, so I run quite a bit, and am always a regular at the gym, just hoping that its all paying off!

Anyway, may be a little off topic, but any feedback given will be much appreciated!
