Chest and Arm Pain only when lying on stomach
I have experienced this very strange phenomenon several times for over the past few years, but haven't found any answers. When I lie flat on my stomach, with my arms by my side, I often start to have a dull pain deep in my chest, and it radiates to my left medial arm, around my elbow. Sometimes the pain can be felt just above my sternum and right below my adam's apple. It is a pretty freaky sensation, and almost feels like a heart attack. I only get these symptoms when I am lying flat on my stomach. I am 23 years old and pretty active (I run/exercise 4-5 times a week). I have had borderline high blood pressure readings (the highest usually around 140/80), especially when at the doctor's office. When at home, it is usually around 125/80. Another issue that I have every couple months or so is a brief "dropping" sensation in my heart, almost like everything stops for a second, and then gets back to normal. I can only best describe it has a feeling like when you find out about shocking news and your heart seems to "drop into your stomach." I have done a lot of research, and it seems like it could be PVC's or something similar. I find myself worrying constantly about these symptoms and whether or not they are all connected or if I am blowing them out of proportion. I have an appointment with a cardiologist in a few weeks, so hopefully I get some answers then. Until then, if anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated!
