Mrs.

I've had 2 heart attacks and have 2 stents. Must I use my medication for the rest of my life?

Re: Mrs.

Probably, although you need to be guided by your doctor on this.

It's inconvenient, but where the heart is concerned, taking daily medicine is a lot easier than another heart attack, particularly when you've already had two.

I have had a major attack and 6 coronary bypasses long ago. Have afib and an ICD. I take several heart medicines daily. So I just mentally shrug, put my morning and night medicines in separate containers and keep those where I won't miss them.

Re: Mrs.

Luckily there is a traffic cop to tell all the pills to go the right way!! My heart specialist says I've got a very bad family history, because my Mom and Dad both had heart problems, and most of my sisters and brothers too. I'm the youngest of the family. but my first attack I had when I was 45. It was very scary.
