| Dialted Aoric Root
I am a 43 year old male in excellent health, I am an avid runner between 25-30 miles a week,work out with weights 3 days a week. I recently had an echo cardiogram, because about 5 years ago my Dad, who was 58 at the time had a valve replacement. My echo showed that my aortic root is dilated to 5.1 cm...I am 6' 6" and weigh 214 lbs, I have never had any symptoms, I have never felt better actually ,the Doctors said that my valve is working fine and not leaking. I've met a cardiologist and he is referring me to a specialist at Mass Gen in Boston. Any opinions would be great.
