Re: "Fluttering" after eating

Have you considered GERD or LPRD. Im going to see a gastro dr on the 20th, because like you sometimes I experience these symptoms...mine usually comes about after eating greasy foods, but it feels like a flutter or like gas is escaping up your esophagus thru your windpipe. Mine feels better after burping. I was told by a GP that I have GERD so im gonna go get scoped cause I cant stand being so gassy and stuff in my chest. It gets so bad sometimes it makes me short of breath from the pressure or either the reflux is causing my airway to constrict. My heart is completely fine, had ekg, nuclear stress test and echo done, all are great. I do suffer from anxiety and take xanax, was taking a PPI like prevacid but it made me nervous. Believe it or not, you dont have to actually have "heart burn" to have GERD or GERD symptoms.

Re: "Fluttering" after eating

i have the same and had a gastrocopy which showed i had a small hiatis hernia which i think might be the cause - i will know in january when i see my consultant if you can wait that long otherwise only eat small amounts at a time, eat slowly and do not eat after 8pm - this worked for me although i still get slight flutters
