Re: heart medications
Metoprolol is a Beta Blocker. Lisinopril is an Ace Inhibitor. They work in completely different ways to block or inhibit excess, damaging hormones. In other words, they compliment each other's actions to lower the blood pressure and to suppress erratic heartbeats.
Clinical tests have shown that the combination of both types of medications is very beneficial to patients who need them.
Personally, my Beta Blocker of choice is Coreg, which I LOVE! It is an amazingly helpful medication.
