I have been drinking V-8 juice to the tune of 2 8oz glasses a day, and my chronic PVC's and short-burst SVT's have improved tremendously. I'm crediting the high level of potassium in the juice, but I have had my potassium level checked regularly (twice a year) and it is always normal.
Can potassium levels fluxuate throughout the day?
I'm really enjoying the peace and quiet in my chest, so I went and bought a ton of V-8 (just the original).
Hey, I have heard to try V-8 juice just never tried it. My skip beats and flutters scare me to death. Do you take any medicine for yours they tell me mine seem normal but i feel them all day and it is making me so tired, and feels hard to breath. They skip back to back or will beat really fast. Do you think I just need to try and cope with these or need to be on some type of medicine. Thank you for sharing with us about the V-8.

Hope this helps others.
Also keep in mind that the LS V8 uses magnesium chloride as well, so its got a hefty dose- ~10% RDA per 8oz. Magnesium is also very calming on your heart. Ive also read many places the RDA for alot of vitamins and minerals- like magnesium, potassium, vitamin d3- are quite low, but please read up and decide for yourself.
Not sure if potassium can fluctuate during the day, but Im sure it can. Other things that may affect it are hydration and other salts. Plus, what may be considered OK on tests may not be what works for you and your body.
I can almost "feel" when my heart seems to be on the jumpy side, almost like a slight tickle feeling. After a bunch of swigs of that it calms it down. My father also uses it for his palpitations and it works well for him.

Give the LS V8 a try . It may be something as simple as potassium and/or magnesium deficiency causing your flutters. If it does work, you can always switch to supplements if you find the taste blah or want a cheaper route. Or try to eat foods high in both and see if you notice any kind of change. Start simple and go from there .

Well... I have always been convinced that my arrhythmias were digestive related. For two years I had to cope with around 300 PVC's, and several bursts of SVT's per day. I started taking Prilosec daily, and the PVC's settled down to more manageable numbers. I don't take any other meds for PVC's, but I am on aspirin and lipitor. It doubt it will hurt to try V-8. Just keep in mind that it's high in sodium. So if you are dealing with High Blood Pressure, this may make it go up. Let me know how it works for you.
Scott....I have felt like mine are digestive related also, seems worse when I have eaten to much or have indigestion, also does it when I bend over or twist. I will try the V-8 the low sodium. I will let you know how it works. Thanks!
I recently started drinking the low sodium V8 tomato juice. And it indeed improves many of my feelings of the PVCs and skipped/fluttered beats.
I've increased eating a banana or two a day, along with 2 or more glasses of low sodium V8.
Every time I go to the doctor, my potassium is on the very low end of normal. Like, right on the border. What might be normal for some, might be low for me.
So, there seems to be consensus that the low sodium V8 tomato works. As was pointed out earlier, there is a lot of potassium in it (it's added to the drink) and some magnesium, too.
