Rapid pulse upon standing, chest pain, SOB, weakness several weeks

Diagnosed w/diabetes type 2 in May 2011 and weighed 267lbs. To date I've lost 48lbs. History of depression, anxiety, insomnia, high BP, tacychardia, sleep apnea. Until recently I've felt better than I've felt in years! I had my energy back! About a month ago I began experiencing a nagging headache that will not go away and tiredness. Then around 2 1/2 weeks ago I started experiencing a constant dull chest pain, my BP would spike, heart would race upon standing(115 usually, highest so far was 130), shortness of breath, lightheadedness, nausea, extreme weakness, difficulty sleeping, and my blood sugar started reading high again. My doctor doubled my dose of Carvedilol from 6.25 2/day to 12.5 2/day. She did 3 EKGs the day she changed my medicine and they were abnormal but when I saw her yesterday my EKG was normal and my pulse and BP were fine. HOWEVER, the episodes are still occurring!

Re: Rapid pulse upon standing, chest pain, SOB, weakness several weeks

Hi I would continue to lose weight and do a daily short walk as tolerated. Years ago they told the patients if all they could do was to walk across the room then walk across the room. If one can go a little farther go a little farther. Each day more steps are added. This should be done every day for a lifetime in the opinion of many. When 20 minutes of brisk walking after each meal can be reached this is probably enough. I wish the best.
