Hi,
I'm a 64 year old female with Chronic Kidney Disease stage 4. My doctor ordered a carotid ultrasound last week because I have been experiencing shortness of breath, dizziness and high blood pressure. The results indicate that I have moderate stenosis in my internal right carotid artery. The narrowing in the artery is 50-69%. I have an appointment with a cardiologist on December 27. I was wondering if anyone has had similar readings and what I should expect when I go to the doctor for an evaluation.
Any responses will be greatly appreciated. I am very concerned because my mother and grandmother died from heart attacks and my dad died from a massive stroke.
