idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy

i was diagnosed with an idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy in july of 2010. it's been an up and down battle since then. my last visit to the cardiologist was a good one, i guess you can say, because he told me my ef increased to 44% from about 30%. but this was in august, four months ago. since then i feel like i'm getting worse. so while my next visit with the cardiologist nears i've been wondering if there's anyone out there that fully recovered from this and if so what steps were taken to do so.
