I have PVC's and ectopic beats. I had a run of strange ones (so I thought) that took myself off to the E.R.

I noticed on the discharge papers Sinus Tachy, that even though they saw all those irregular beats, they saw nothing really wrong and to do a follow up with my GP and Cardio.

Bottom line for 6 hours while lying in the hospital bed running tests and hooked up to the heart monitor. I could not get my beat to anything lower than about 117bpm.

Why is this so...... Stress and Anxiety. I have what they call white coat Syndrome a lot of the times. When I see a doctor or have tests done I stress. My heart rate goes through the roof and so to my blood pressure.

Basically before I left the ER my heart rate was 84 and blood pressure normal, because I was told I had nothing really wrong or dangerous and could go home, thus I calmed down.

What are they looking for in an Echo. Well probably nothing to do with your tachy beats. Echo show heart chamber size, valves and blood flow. A Standard test which most of the times during a normal investigation shows everything fine.

I am sorry but how one can be in a medical Center, hooked up to a machine for a test and have a resting heart rate measured accurately is beyond me. Everyone would stress to some degree even if they thing they are relaxed.
