| Re: Anxiety or Heart Problems?
Does this happen if you lie down on either side, or just one? I've found that laying on my left side specifically seems to work my heart a lot harder, making it beat harder and more irregularly (PVCs). Do you consume much in the way of caffeine or sugar, particularly within a few hours before bed?
If it is anxiety, however, don't think it's unavoidable. There's treatments, either through medication or therapy, so there's no need to accept it as an inevitability. In the mean time, the less you worry, the better. I know it's easier said than done, but just try to keep in mind that it's almost certainly nothing. It's incredibly rare for someone your age to have heart problems, and almost everyone gets noticeable palpitations at some point in their life. Chances are it's nothing.
