Daily Palpitations

Hello,

My doctor gave me an echo and a stress test about 3 months ago. He said everything was normal. He prescribed me to take bystolic 2.5 for high BP. Over the past few weeks I have been having palpitations at least once or twice daily. Is this normal and when should I be concerned?

Thx

P.S.

How is an arrhythmia different from a skipped beat...or is it?

Re: Daily Palpitations

That's how my heart started beating erratically five years ago, then it gradually became more frequent and longer lasting( 4-6 hours continuos) My cardiologist put me on low dose beta blocker and warafin. I't been a week now without a problem. Waiting to see this weekend when I have a couple beers to see if it has any effect. Hope this helps

Re: Daily Palpitations

Don't drink too much.
Beta Blockers slow your heart rate.
Alcohol will speed it up.
