T Inversions on ecg, doc has referred me to specialist asap, what does it mean?

hi, hope some one can help!

i have been having palpitations alot and went to docs, i am only 32. i am tired all the time too. i had a funny turn at home which prompted me to go to docs. blood pressure is ok, it has gone high a few times but is genrally within the normal range

doc sent me for an ecg and i got a call late that night (7pm) saying i had to go in monday morning and see the doc about the results. my blood tests were fine except cholestorol abit high, 5.6.

he said my ecg was abnormal, said there where t inversions, which i have no idea what they are! he said with this, my symptoms and my dads history of heart arrthymia i had to see a specialist quite urgently!

can any one explain what t inversions are please?

thanks

Heart palpatations are normal after age 30. But having too many is a signal of something is off. Go in Monday and see what needs to be done. Cholestrol can be controlled with medication and diet changes. Going to a heart docotor is a corrected direction to make sure to heart is functioning properly. Good luck and see what can be done to get the cholestrol numbers down. You cannot get out of going to see the specialist. And be sure to ask questions. Hugs for today.

Re: T Inversions on ecg, doc has referred me to specialist asap, what does it mean?

thanks for your reply, my gp referred me to a specialist asap and my appointment has come through at the hosp for the 19th of this month.

i tried to ask my g/p questions but he isnt the most chatty of people and you dont get much out of him :/ he just said the ecg was abnormal and there where t inversions (like i was meant to know what that meant!)

I am exhausted most of the time and today the palpatations are quite bad, my bp however seems ok at 107/69 (i bought a monitor to keep an eye on it)

just waiting now to see the heart doc, somewhat worried and desperate to know whats going on!

Sounds like you need to get another gp. You need someone to dependon for answers, not quiet talk. He needs to his head examined and go back to med school and learn bedside manners again. They are teaching them to be more open nowadays. Good luck at the cardio. Hugs for today. And do not forget to ask questions. You are in change.
