Re: ECG ok but odd
Sorry that you are having problems with palpitations and lightheadedness. What were you doing, at the time, when you got lightheaded? Do you constantly have palpitations? Did you have them during the ECG?
ECGs show how well the heart's electrical system is working. Doctors use ECGs to help them to help evaluate how well your heart is working. You went to him in the hopes of getting a proper evaluation. If all the doctor could say is that the ECG results were "odd", then it sounds like you did not get a proper evaluation. You expected "odd results" because you were having heartbeat problems. What did your doctor expect you to do, read and evaluate the ECG yourself, or read his mind?!
You might want to call his office and get a copy of the ECG with his notes and summary diagnoses.
I take it that he is not a heart specialist or a cardiologist? I would expect an "odd" comment from a doctor who does not have a lot of training or experience properly reading ECGs.
