| Pacemaker and Spinal Cord Neurostimulator?
Hello everyone,
I wonder if anyone here had Spinal Cord Stimulator implanted (SCS). I have such dilemma now and worry sick this may be really dangerous.
St. Jude company who makes the SCS, they dont recommend to have both devices in a body due to interference. My pacemaker rep will be present during trial and surgery to make sure it's OK. But when I called their office of technical support, not saying that their rep said OK for me to have it and will be present during procedures, they told me NO, you can't have SCS implanted, it may damage your pacemaker.
I am so confused. I trust my DR who suggested the implantation, he is Pain mgmt DR of mine for more than 6 years. How can he take such risk though, is it for money? On the other hand, he is a very well known DR in famous NYC Dr who has big practice, why would he take such risk?
I really need some help to sort things out. Please help me.
