Unhappy Pericarditis still bothering me

Its been seven months and I am still on Prednisone for my Pericarditis. I had tapered off and within a few days the pain was back. Now my rheumatologist added Plaquenil so that may be able to come off the Prednisone which has messed up my body. Does anyone else have these problems?

Re: Pericarditis still bothering me

Greetings Welcome to the Heart Disorder health board. You have my sympathies. Yes I have a friend who also had her immune system messed up with prednisone and subsequently had Candida albicans problems for years.

Cherries, pineapple, aloe vera and turmeric have known anti-inflammatory properties in them. I would keep vegetables and fruits in separate meals. Some things such as sugar cause problems with Candida and too much fat can actually cause inflammation. It is often heathier for people not to use medicines. An herbalist who only does herbs might be useful. Of course everyone makes their own decisions about healthcare. Peace, sjb
