chest pain, just anxiety?
I'm 28, and have had anxiety since I was 17. I had severe pre-eclampsia when I was pregnant, and therefore my bp is still high, for which I take meds. I used to have very bad anxiety before. I have been to the ER numerous times because of chest pains, and have gotten more EKG's than I can count. Every one came back good. Recently, I have had horrible anxiety attacks again, even having to get Xanax from the dr. I have told her about my chest pain and she's positive its just anxiety. When I feel pain/pressure in my chest, if I push down on the spot that hurts, it feels like rubbing a tight muscle. I also have degenerative disc disease in my neck, so I dont know if that can contribute to the tight muscles. My last EKG was 2 1/2 years ago, and every thing was good. My dr said since my blood pressure is so good, thats another reason she doesn't think its my heart. Someone help? I'm giving myself panic attacks thinking about this all the time. Thank you!
