Results from stress test...what does this mean?

I had a nuclear stress test done 2 weeks ago and got a call from my PCP referring me to a cardiologist. They couldnt tell me anything other than this:
Large moderately intense inferior wall perfusion defect with a summed Stress score of 10;
Mild to moderate inferior wall perfusion defect with a summed Rest score of 3, indicating significant improvement from the stress study.
Inferior wall contractability: a calculated LVEF score of 59%
I am a male, 51 and I take meds for high blood pressure. Is this a really bad thing? Can anybody tell me?

Re: Results from stress test...what does this mean?

Hi,

Your summed stress score (SSS) shows you have Moderate Ischemia (restriction of blood supply) during exercise.

Your summed rest score (SRS) shows Mild Ischema at rest.

Ejection fraction (EF)
LVEF (Left Ventrical Ejection Fraction) refers to the amount, or percentage, of blood that is pumped out of the ventricles with each contraction.
A score of 55% ~ 75% is considered to be normal.

Your Cardiologist will probably want you to have an Angiogram to check for blocked coronary arteries.

Good Luck.
