i started a dating this girl who has hep B. To be on the safe side I went in to get my shots..I went to go visit her but i only got two of the three shots required because my last shot is not due till July of this year. We had protected sex and I fingered her..when we kissed i made sure there were no tongue to tongue action..but she snuck it in once for a sec..but it didnt touch my tongue. When I came back home ...within a few days...i had a tummy problem..it didnt felt rite..also my abs were in discomfort here and there...and i felt tire almost through out the day...i read that u dont get symptoms untill some months after exposure...is there ne way i can be exposed from fingering her and her sticking her tongue just for a sec in my mouth? There were no cuts on my fingers...so is it possible for the virus to get in my system trhought he finger nails?

ok, so- even after 3 shots of hep B vaccine, there is only a 90% effectiveness rate. it is unlikely that you would be able to contract the disease from kissing but the fingering is a possible route of transmission. A small cut on your finger or around the nail could have provided a route. You would not be having symptoms immeditately, so I think those that you do have are unrelated. I would recommend getting a hepatitis blood screening asap. If this is a very recent exposure there are drugs that can be taken to avoid contracting the disease even after initial exposure. Time is of the essence here.

thanks for the respond...im sure there werent any cuts on my fingers so im not too worried. I heard even if your exposed to the virus in between the series of shots u can still prevent it? Cause i only have 2 of the shots.
