Unhappy yuck

How's everybody?
I feel so bad I can't think straight. Joints hurt, fatigue, fatigue, fatigue. They offered me a promotion at work a couple months ago. I said are you nuts? I am already working 60 hours a week and on call all the time, do you want me dead? So they gave me another program (that makes two of the three large ones in my area) to run with a raise. There isn't enough raise to make up for how bad I feel. I need to slow down, but can't. I am already having prolems with poor health insurance and can't afford adequate medical care for my kids, so I really can't afford more doctors. Seems like every time I go they do a whole bunch of expensive tests and don't do anything to help me feel better. I know I sound whiny. I appologize. I am having a hard time making my employers understand how badly I need a vacation. I haven't had one in 15 months. I don't know if it is working too much that is making me feel bad or old age and the 20 pounds I've put on in the last year. Anyway, does anyone know how to beat the fatigue without missing work. Weekends are not off time for me so that doesn't work. I'm living on caffine and I know it is bad. Is there anything anyone can suggest? I only know how to tell my employer that I don't feel well and I need a break, I don't know how to make them listen. I'm ready for suggestions.
Thanks guys. Peace.
Restless

Out of curiosity, I did a search for "hepatitis clinical pathway". I found a page where doctors state that they treat fatigue with Ritalin. Ritalin is supposed to be a mild stimulant taken in small doses to treat people with attention deficit disorder. Since reading that, I have wondered what the effect would be in regard to "brain fog" as well as fatigue. The information on their web page makes it look as though they prescribe it on a routine basis.

Here's the address in case you decide to look at it:

Cool

Restless-
sounds like you absoloutely need that vacation, I know several people that needed vacations and are now on very long ones, some dropped from heart attacks and stress, strokes etc, all were very young, one guy I worked with was 37, not overweight, but had a double stoke, did not take care of himself.
your job is going to seem very minor, as your laying on the operating table, take care of your self restless, if your not around it is hard to care for your children also.
In my opinion as for the fatique, a young man in his twentys would be getting fatiqued working 60 hrs a week with stress.
Drink lots of water, you will not beleive how much this helps, if you have to have a couple of cups of coffee to funcion, try having a couple of cups in the morning and then water all afternoon, as soon as I get up I wash down some vitimines with about 10 oz of water, I also like my coffee, so I have one, then water, coffee then water the rest of the day.
I also take a vitimine B stress combo that I beleive helps me, although I do not have any stress, I beleive with the water, the vit B stress combo really helped my fatique.
The vit B stress combo comes with vit c and the various B's you need in one, check with your doc on dose's.

Thumbs up

Thanks guys,
Can you elaborate on the combonation of B vitamins you take Neil?
I am familiar with Ritalin, but have never heard of it used for anything other than hyperactivity in children. Sorry it took so long to reply, but guess where i've been....working. Yesterday I was offered a 40 hour per week position with one of our sister companies. The salary is equivalent and my benifits would transfer. It is a day program so it closes at 3pm and is not open weekends and holidays. I am going to tell my supervisors on Monday that I am going to take it. I feel like it is the answer to my prayers. I would have the same clients and I already know every one involved. You guys maybe could say a few prayers for me that this will work out. In the meantime I will try the vitamin thing and try to learn how to slow down. I did wind colapsing and going to the hospital 2 years ago due to overwork. I don't want the heart attack to be next. Thank you all for your information and support. And I would like to know more about those vitamins.
Peace. Restless.

Restless-
Will give you the "recipe" tomorrow on that B combo, and congradulations on the new job, that will probably be a large influnce on your overall health, I am happy for you with that, the routine you were on would have dropped most of us I beleive, I hope that the new job will work out great for you.

be well-
