I am 1a but not treating.
Everything I read says we are the hardest to treat.
I'm not sure on the percentages so I won't say I will let someone more qualified do that.
I do know it's better now than before.
You hang in there & stat focused & defeat this dragon.

Howdy Powerman-
I am also a Geno 1A, and am going on the Pegasys adventure, it is my opinion that there is enough HCV non-detected after treatment cases out there with geno 1A's, that you and I are willing to try our best to beat this dragon.
As DRSLMD said as we get educated on how to stay healthly and avoid certain lifstyles and with the newer treatments our changes and percentages are getting higher.
I believe that many treatments failed as a response to a unhealthy lifstyle during or after the treatment, making honest percentages unknown. I believe that leveling out the percentages, and taking care of ourselves will give us that 50/50 chance, which in my books is better than no chance,
A big factor is having a very high positive outlook going in and during treatment.

iam look for info from geno 1a people .who have done treament or are in treatment now .peg +rebetol .all info welcome .this my eight week of treatment .

I have no written info. I am a 1a. My doctor gave me a 60% chance of getting rid of Hep C. I am in week 30 of combination treatment.
