Post thanks, your words mean the world right now.

Hi you guys and thanks so much for your caring words of advice and support. Today was such a rough day with my mind taking me days and months down that road I almost went crazy. I came home form work and read the reply posts and what a huge difference you all have made. The treatment will be pegatron/rebatron ( I think that is what I call it) from what I am reading but we will hope to have many questions answered on the 25th.My brain is on overload with all the info from the last appt. Injection on friday nights and 2 pills a day. My husbands genotype is 1B and grade 2 from his biopsy with no scarring which was done 3 years ago. We are waiting for his virus load results to come back. He is now noticing some minor discomfort on occasion in stomach area and fatigue, he has been wondering when this occurs it could be when his Alt. numbers have risen. Totally his choice to go for treatment which was reccomended by his specialist. I don't care for the Doctor but he likes him, the nurses we are dealing with are awesome , thank god.
I think Iam freaked out over this more than my husband and he finally told me tonight, let it go, and we will just see how the treatment goes....Ouch! Poor guy....like he needs to have to tell me this stuff, Big eye opener for me. We will be shown how to do the injections and follow the plan 100%. All we can do is take one day at a time and look at it positively. He is very healthy and strong and likes to keep busy all the time.Eats well, no alcohol since diagnosed 4 years ago, quit smoking. His work days are usually 12 hours. Well thats alot for me tonight and I totally got so much from all the posts.....thanks again so much , Iam very grateful. 10 days to go.
I like how you have been posting how "you" feel and "your husband" after the shots and on what days.ex: shot#1, day 2 etc.....It is interesting to read.
I will be back soon,
faith

I think you'll do fine. Take one day at a time, and let it go, like your husband suggested, Peg_Faith. I remember when DirtDiva was gearing up for the big first day of her husband's shot ... she said she was more nervous than her husband --just like you!

She kept herself busy soaking up all the info she could get and then getting all kinds of supplies together, planning for the worst of it, and praying for the best of it. They are a good team and I truly think that DirtDiva, herself, is her husband's BEST side effect, tee hee. Loving support will make you both feel better!

Stay with us. You have friends here.

Keep your spirits and attitude HIGH!

Diane

Cool

Howdy Faith-
Love that name, Positivity right there,
Hang in there girl, help your boy, but do not spoil him, us guys can get to be sissys if we get over pampered, he he [I mean OTHER guys, not me, he he].

As Dian, and MJ wise words state, it will work out, and as your hubby say's let it go, letting yourself get stressed will not help either of you, it is impossible to predict how one person will react to treatment, so only time will tell.

Remember though, my Four best medicines for treatment is
-#1 -Water-
Lots of fresh water, I drink at least three quarts a day, when I feel the flu like aches and pains, shortness of breath,or brain fog coming on, I toss back a 16 Oz bottle of water, within minutes the symtoms dissapear, and on I go, good as new.

-#2 - Fresh air,-
get outdoors-enjoy life, Hoooya, nothing better for the spirt, I try to keep as busy outdoors as I can, 90 % of the day, I forget I am even taking the Pegasys combo treatment, from what I have heard of most that take it easy all day being couch potatoes suffer big side effects, the more you are idle, the more time you have to think about side effects, so get out there, go for a walk together, good medicine for everyone.

-#3 - Positivity,
-it is said "its hard to think your objective was to drain the swamp when your up to your a$$ in aligators" but keep positive at all times, think the best of the worst, treatment was not around when the phase "the meek shall inherit the earth", at all times keep thinking -"I AM going to kick this Dragon Bugs butt back to hell where it belongs"
HOOOOOYA

-#4 - Support-
Family members, spouses like some ladies here, and you good people, one medicine that overdose is recommended.

These best medicines, are almost free, except for the water, which is only pennies, but worth it.

Wishing the both of you the best, will be here for you.
Be POSITIVE, be Well +
