WOW! What are we supposed to expect from all this?

Last summer, a horse died from west nile less than 500 yards from my old residence where my parents have retired.

What i hear on the news is that people should cover their mouths (preferably with a disposable cloth) when they cough, utilize perfect hygiene in handwashing after being in public, and try not to put themselves in places where airborn pathogens may exist, take all measures to repel blood predators such as mosquitos..

this is very serious! i think that the people reading this board are understanding and preparing themselves to be able to not spread any illness and likewise not contract another!

it sure is a great scare to everyone!they have a few hospitals underwatched appperantly some of the staff that work in those hospitals (might have it), it was the last info regarding it that i heard on the news.prayers and comfort to all.

Again you hit it on the nail, glad to see you still posting, when West nile virus hit the Eastern seaboard in USA and Canada, the Gov. officals in Ontario, in Canada said not to worry about it,

Well, 13 people died there, and hundreds maybe thousands are crippled with worst symtoms than most of us with HCV, West nile is now moving West in the USA and Canada,

so now just a Mosquitoe bite can kill you, yaaa then theres SARS, unlike West Nile, they learned their lesson and are getting a handle on SARs, still not quick enough for many.

but then again, years ago when a commical plane dumped its toilets a frozen chunk of crap crashed though some poor guys roof, and killed him in his easy chair, what the heck the moral of that story alludes me. he he

mosquitoe's hmmmmmm!
a friend of ours from thunder bay, his sister(whom we never did meet) was bitten from one of those,and she remains in a wheel chair and eventually went blind.she lives in winnipeg.this happened many years ago,just thought that i would share this.it's really not safe.

The tx for west nile is interferon... i guess that makes some of us safer!
