Cool Pegasys Shot # 23 - Day 2

Howdy Folks-

Well did shot # 23, Mon, and if possible I even feel better than ever before, maybe its just because I finally recovered from my great northern adventure, and the weather is great.

Something I did notice, I took my "Mini-Me"
[my little Grandson] fishing, on Saturday, we had a great time, fishing was not great, mostly because he threw everything that was not nailed down into the water, [that’s a normal guy thing], he he.

But even though I wore a hat and sunglasses, and tried to sit in the shade as much as possible, and drank lots of water and Gatorade, I burned in less than two hours, on my arms and shoulders, I never burn, and never had to wear sunscreen, as I spent the majority of my awake life outdoors.

It just goes to show that how we are indeed light sensitive while on treatment, so beware and as always take precautions.

Well next week is the big shot # 24, half way mark, I can not believe its been six months already, it goes really fast if you keep busy, I think that is the key to coping with these treatments, at the end of the day I have no problem sleeping, I am asleep when my head hits the pillow.

I if possible will even be busier now as I am taking a forth job, I will be writing a column in the Northwest regional newspaper, called "The Great Outdoors" it will have fishing, camping, hunting, wilderness survival tips, and a general outdoor activity format.

I wrote a column years ago, based on the same format, it was all freehand with no computer or spell check, so after posting here so much I can type quite well now, He he.
Anyway, I will be even busier, and will help pay for all my Archery ads in that paper also.

I hope I feel this good when I am off Pegasys, he he,

HOOOOYA.

Someday we will make this right,
One day we will win this fight.
Do not let treatment control you,
Control your treatment.
Be positive, to achieve a negative, be well all.

Hi Neil
Wonderful to hear you are doing so good. My hubby got sunburned real bad too after about an hour in the sun, now he is real careful. I just love reading your posts and they always put a smile on my face! Thanks for that ........
Bye for now, Faith

Neil: You sound Great! It sounds like you know how to handle yourself quite well during this treatment! I'd like to read some of your articles when they get published. I don't know how hard it will be to find the paper but will look.
I used to read "Outdoor Life" magazine every month and used to get a good kick out of the last article by McManus (I think was the authors name). You have some really good stories to tell and I am sure the readers will be well entertained. I can't imagine you writing as corny as McManus but definitely have the experiences and talent of writing to be a success!

I agree with everyone about the sun... I seem to be getting a more tolerant to it as i have been off the riba for about 2.5 months but still am pretty careful.

Is_This: When i feel like someone is wondering why i don't look so healthy, besides letting their imaginations take over, I simply tell them that I have been taking chemo for a small problem that I don't care to discuss and that the effects will subside as time goes on.

I hope everyone reading this is taking the best care of themselves as they can!

There is quite a bunch of nice people here

Wes

Oh YEAH! HALFWAY DONE!! CONGRATULATIONS NEIL!

Yay! Neil. You truly inspire me. I feel so fortunate to be following in your footsteps where staying busy and side effects are concerned. I have been so LUCKY! And I am glad that you have been too!

Is-this-real, Your hair will just thin. It will not actually have bald spots or anything. The only one who will notice is you.

Take care and God bless,
~Lorna
